Violent Answer has been focused on raw energy and heaviness from the very beginning, combining the aggression of hardcore with the rhythmic, groovy approach of nu-metal. Their music is built on downtuned, rhythmic riffs, strong, aggressive drum lines, and intense vocals, but on their new EP Shift, the band expands their sound.
The new tracks introduce more space and atmosphere, enriching the aggressive parts with melodic guitar leads and electronic beats. Despite these changes, the core remains the same – thick, heavy sound and a direct message. The lyrical content continues to revolve around frustration, alienation, and inner conflicts, but also determination in the struggle against disorientation in reality, depicting a state of mental confusion and the attempt to break free from chaos. The album encourages taking on challenges and inner transformations, leading to a confrontation with one’s own weaknesses and the search for inner balance.
Violent Answer is primarily a live band – their material works best on stage, where energy and groove are the foundation of intense interaction with the audience. Shift shows Violent Answer from a different perspective, but does not stray from what has defined the band’s style from the very beginning.
